Job summary

Choices for People provides year-round support and instructional programs designed to aid individuals with disabilities in developing essential life skills. This role focuses on providing direct services to individuals and coordinating needs for each person on their caseload while advocacy for all individuals served is a core responsibility.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish a secure, positive environment that nurtures individuals' needs, self-expression, and goals.
• Overseeing individuals and taking care of their needs and performing housekeeping duties.
• Delivers individualized services, training, and care for individuals in line with plans and guidelines.
• Maintain working relationships with employers, agencies, and organizations to source opportunities for clients.
• Evaluate individuals' background, skills, and interests and build resumes for interviews and workforce readiness.
• Assist individuals with job searches, applications, and follow-up communication.
• Advance individuals' decision-making, productivity, and participation in activities.
• Promote independence in daily activities and community participation.
• Maintain knowledge of requirements and ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Communicate with stakeholders and maintain timely records for the division.
• Assist with daily living errands as necessary.
• Operate facility vehicles in compliance with policies and statutes.
