Job summary

Woods Services in Pennsylvania is seeking staff to supervise and support clients with disabilities across the Woods System of Care. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, welfare and compliance with client needs and treatment goals.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement ISPs/IHPs/IEPs, promote independence, and use de-escalation and safety techniques as required. On-site duties include assisting during meals with adaptive equipment and close supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and meet physical requirements.
• Strong written and oral English communication; report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a client advocate by ensuring clients are free from abuse and mistreatment.
• Immediately report any incident of suspected abuse or mistreatment.
• Provide assistance, instruction and guidance toward client independence.
• Demonstrate awareness of variances including cognitive/developmental functioning and social/cultural differences.
• Serve as a role model for mature, appropriate behavior.
• Collaborate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team and provide feedback on ISPs/IHPs/IEPs.
• Apply SMART principles and de-escalation techniques.
• Use safety techniques and restraint procedures per Woods’ policy.
• Employ behavior management strategies as directed by clinicians.
• Assist clients at meals using adaptive equipment and provide close supervision.
