Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC in Greensboro, NC is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the 2nd shift. The DSP provides personalized support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use challenges, helping them engage in the community and pursue personal goals.

You will work full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional weekends, assisting with daily living, transportation, and advocacy while following person-centered plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Complete pre-employment screening: background checks, drug testing, and credential checks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for individuals’ human, legal, and civil rights.
• Promote health and safety by supporting wellness initiatives.
• Encourage self-advocacy and empower individuals in making their own choices.
• Facilitate community engagement by accompanying individuals to work, recreational activities, and social events.
• Teach and support independent living skills, including household management and personal care.
• Provide transportation for appointments, errands, and community activities.
• Foster social connections by supporting relationships within the community.
• Assist with personal care tasks and daily living activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and support.
• Connect individuals with community resources for career development and education.
