The role emphasizes encouraging independence through targeted skill training in self-care, household tasks, and social activities. Shifts include full-time, part-time, and PRN.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and a second form of ID are required.
• Physical and PPD test within the last year.
• CPR/FA certification, if completed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support to individuals with IDD in a Group Home setting.
• Provide support and transportation to help individuals complete daily routines.

Job Description

Direct Support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a Group Home setting. Provide support, transportation and assistance for each individual to enable her/him to complete daily routines in a safe, healthy, productive and dignified manner. This usually includes toileting, bathing, dressing, laundry, supervision of recreation. Encourages independence by providing both the opportunity and the appropriate levels of skill training for the individuals in categories such as self-care, household chores, social skills, recreation skills, etc.
