Empowered Services provides one-on-one in-home and community-based support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our focus is to hire and train Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help people build independence, maintain routines, and stay connected to their communities in meaningful ways.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who is fluent in American Sign Language, to provide consistent, structured care for an individual in Beaverton.

This role centers around:

• Supporting daily routines and household structure
• Assisting with community-based activities and errands
• Encouraging independence while maintaining clear expectations
• Behavioral support
• Emotional regulation
• Crisis support

This is a strong fit for someone who is consistent, patient, and confident maintaining boundaries in a supportive way.

What You’ll Do

• Supportdaily living routines(meals, hygiene, organization)
• Assist withcommunity access(shopping, errands, outings)

Compensation & Benefits

• $23–$26 per hour(based on experience and qualifications)
• Paid training
• Part time schedule with the opportunity for more hours for the right candidate

Full-time employees (30+ hours/week) may be eligible for:

Qualifications:

• Current auto insurance (meeting state requirements)

Preferred:

• Experience in caregiving, DSP, behavioral support, or IDD roles
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD
• Strong communication and boundary-setting skills
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Must be fluent in American Sign Language
