Job summary

Bello Machre is seeking Part-Time and Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our Residential Services in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. DSPs provide loving care, teach independent living skills, and plan community-based activities for adults with developmental disabilities.

Shifts are based on client needs; part-time candidates are sought for weekend work in Residential Services. Training is provided and time spent in training is paid.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 5 points
• Must display a genuine interest in the well-being of adults with developmental disabilities
• Must display a positive attitude when interacting with others

Responsibilities

• Provides outstanding support and services for people with developmental disabilities, enabling participation in community life
• Assists individuals in development of friendships and relationships
• Assists individuals to become active participants in their community and build natural support networks
• Helps maintain a family-style household, including cooking balanced meals and keeping the home clean
• Attend to individual needs, including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, or other care requirements
• Support and encourage participation in the community, including recreational and social outings

Bello Machre is seeking Part-Time and Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our Residential Services in Anne Arundel County. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are essential staff and provide loving care for adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and throughout the community. In addition to providing direct support and loving care, our Direct Support Professionals teach the people we support independent living skills, plan community-based activities, and implement individual program plans.

Direct Support Professionals work shifts based on the needs of those they support. We're seeking part-time candidates looking to work weekends in Residential Services.

Responsibilities

• Provides outstanding support and services for people with developmental disabilities, enabling them to participate as fully as they wish in all aspects of community life
• Assists individuals in the development of friendships and other relationships
• Assists individuals to become an active participant in their community and to build natural support networks;
• Helps maintain a family-style household, which includes cooking balanced meals according to clients' needs and preferences and maintaining house cleanliness
• Attend to the individual needs of each person, which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, or other needs in keeping with their care requirements.
• Support and encourage participation in the community, including going on recreational and social outings
