Job description

Duties

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Administer medication according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of individuals at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment.
• Document individual progress and communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• Experience or education in social work or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and behavior management techniques.
• Ability to follow medication administration protocols and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Experience working with children or in a childcare setting is a plus.
• Physical ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for transporting individuals to appointments or activities.
• First aid and CPR certification is mandatory.

Schedule: 32 hours weekly (Friday‑Sundays)
