RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide Waiver services in North Carolina. This entry-level role supports individuals with disabilities to identify goals and access services in home and community settings.

You will wear many hats as a caregiver and advocate, helping with transportation, personal care, and community outings, while documenting care and upholding rights and confidentiality. A HS diploma and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license

• Promote healthy living and prevent illness and accidents.
• Increase awareness of self-advocacy and support individual choice.
• Accompany people to work, the movies, concerts, shopping, and other outings.
• Teach independent living skills.
• Provide transportation to appointments.
• Foster positive relationships within the community.
• Promote decision-making about living, work, and social relationships.
• Assist with personal care and housekeeping tasks.
• Document the care you provide.
• Provide education on human, legal, and civil rights.
• Connect people with resources for career, education, volunteering, etc.
• Promote effective communication.
• Assist in medication administration where state law allows.
• Protect confidentiality.
