Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our group homes in the Harrisburg area. You will provide care and support with daily living activities, assist with personal care, mobility, and meals, and help with life skills development in a compassionate team.

No prior experience is required – paid training is provided, and you will gain meaningful work in human services while supporting individuals to lead more independent lives.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license (DL).
• Related experience in care or human services is helpful.
• A verifiable high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support and transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well‑being, including medication support as trained.
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.

Position: Direct Support Professional

Location: Harrisburg, Hershey, Hummelstown, Lebanon, Elizabethville and Millersburg Group Homes

Pay Rate: Earn up to $19.00/hour with election of Enhanced Pay option.

Key Responsibilities

Spend your days making memories — from trips to the park and sensory gardens to helping individuals achieve their personal goals. You’ll be a mentor, coach, and advocate.
