Delta-T Group is seeking a motivated Direct Support Professional in Manassas, VA to provide daily care and support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, nutrition, and behavior plans to promote independence.

You will document progress, adhere to safety protocols, and advocate for client needs while fostering a positive, respectful environment across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to provide direct care and supportive services.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• TB test required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct support to individuals with IDD.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Support mobility and therapeutic exercises as needed.
• Assist with meals and basic nutrition.
• Follow behavior support plans and use positive reinforcement.
• Help develop life skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting).
• Lead educational and recreational activities to promote growth.
• Maintain clean and organized group-home environment.
• Record progress, incidents and changes accurately.
• Advocate for rights and preferences of individuals.

Our Client is seeking a motivated professional to work as a Direct Support Professional in Manassas, VA

• Provide everyday support to individuals with IDD Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
• Help with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as needed.
• Ensure proper diet and nutrition, and assist with feeding if required.
• Follow individualized behavior support plans to address specific needs and challenges.
• Use positive reinforcement and behavioral techniques to manage and improve behavior.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting.
• Provide educational and recreational activities that promote personal growth and independence.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the group home environment.
• Assist with household chores such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individuals' progress, incidents, and any changes in their condition.
• Advocate for the needs and preferences of individuals, ensuring their rights and choices are respected.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster a positive and supportive environment.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
• Willingness and ability to provide direct care and supportive services as needed
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• TB Test

CLIENT'S HOURS

• Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm and 3:00pm-11:00pm
