Job summary

Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) is hiring a Direct Support Professional Supervisor for our DSPS Group Home in Winter Park, FL. You will supervise care delivery, ensure safety, and support residents with developmental disabilities around the clock.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 21+ years old, and a valid Florida driver’s license. Prior DD experience is preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential to implement individual plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Preferred: four years relative experience or a 4 year college degree and 2 years experience in Developmental Disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and assists with ADLs.
• Performs daily grooming, meal service, and related activities.
• Mitigates risk and follows behavioral management plans per resident needs.
• Engages residents and implements programming schedules; documents training, incidents, and observations.

About the Company:

Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake and Seminole Counties.

CFC also operates 17 Group Homes which are six-bed community integrated homes serving children and adults with developmental disabilities. We specialize in caring for residents with behavioral problems. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.

Purpose:

This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position helps with everyday tasks such as ADL's. These include daily grooming, meal service, risk mitigation and following any applicable behavioral management plans as defined by the resident individual needs.

Actively engages with individuals at all times and provide all necessary supports to meet their needs, including all direct care and service requirements. Follows Active Treatment/Programming schedule.

Identifies hazards or dangerous behaviors in the environment and takes immediate action to avoid, mitigate or eliminate, and report hazardous conditions or unsafe behaviors. Ensures the safety of self, residents/consumers, co-workers, families, guardians and visitors at all times.

Implements electronic and paper documentation of training needs including programming, incident reporting, data collection and behavior observations.

Follows good vehicle loading and unloading procedures as well as ensures compliance with good vehicle safety practices

Required Qualification:

High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
Must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid Florida driver’s license.
