Job summary

MMD Community Care LLC in New Jersey is seeking a Spanish speaking Direct Support Professional to provide direct support and assistance for consumers. You will assist with daily living skills, meals, household tasks, and community participation; required to lift, transfer, and support safety across home settings.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma, a valid NJ driver’s license, background checks, CPR/FA, and fluent English.

Job Description

Seeking a Spanish speaking Direct Support Professional to provide direct support and assistance for consumer.

Duties

Assist consumer in development of community living skills A.ssist consumer in preparation of meals, maintaining a household, toileting, dressing, grooming, and personal maintenance and assist in assuring there are opportunities for the consumer within the home to participate in their own lives and to become part of the community possible.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be physically capable of transferring, assisting with transfers, and lifting persons who require physical assistance.

The employee must be able to reach and bend as they assist participants with physical activities.

Experience/Education/License Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License (driving record not to exceed 5 points). If transporting consumers’ proof of automobile insurance is needed
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must clear any State/Federal criminal background checks, the Central Registry and CARI database
• CPR/FA certification
• Must be proficient in English (read, write & comprehend)
• Complete all training for the position within established timelines

OTHER GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability and willingness to support individuals with challenging behaviors, ability to adapt to environmental conditions in private residences
Maintain safety and cleanliness of any personal vehicle that transports consumers Display professionalism always

Provide at least two (2) verifiable job references.

Job Type: Part -time

Salary: $22 per hour

Schedule:

• Sunday 9AM - 2PM
