Job summary

Sunrise Services, INC. seeks a Direct Support Professional - Rover for its Supported Living Program. The role provides flexible, cross-site direct support and shift coverage, ensuring continuity of care and compliance across locations.

Positive attitude, strong customer service and computer skills are essential. Responsibilities include direct home-based support, medication assistance, transportation support, and maintaining participant records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Required.
• 1–3 years in human services, behavioral health, or related field preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification, Nurse Delegation and Diabetes delegation within 90 days of hire.
• Active Washington State Nursing Assistant Registry.
• Washington State Driver’s License with personal vehicle and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to participants in their homes with safety, dignity, and a clean environment.
• Work with diverse client support needs, including behavioral and medically fragile supports.
• Relieve staff so they can take their 30-minute meal break when requested.
• Assist with communication and administrative tasks to maintain compliance and continuity of care in participant homes.
• Observe health changes and report to Health Care Program Manager promptly.
• Administer, deliver, pickup, renew, and dispose of medications as assigned.
• Provide QA assistance with medication compliance and health tracking per medical orders.
• Report errors or concerns regarding medication/health tracking to Health Care Program Manager.
• Arrange transportation via personal vehicle or client paratransit for medical appointments.
• Report maintenance issues to Service Desk; ensure client safety and empowerment.
• Maintain participant records and plans (ISP, PCSP, BSP) and support continuity.
• Safely transport participants per company/state regulations.

Sunrise Services, INC. is seeking a Direct Support Professional - Rover for our Supported Living Program!

The Supported Living Rover provides flexible, cross-site direct support and shift coverage, quality/compliance support across multiple locations. The role ensures continuity of care, adherence to regulatory standards, and support for staff and client needs in dynamic environments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to participants in their homes, ensuring safety, dignity, and clean environment
• Work with all variety of client support needs, including but not limited to challenging behavioral support, sexualized behavioral support, and medically fragile support
• Relieve client supporting staff from client sites so they can take their lawful 30 minute meal break if the staff member should request their meal break.
• Assist with communication and administrative tasks required to maintain compliance and continuity of care within participant homes
• Observe client’s functional conditions and report changes immediately to the Health Care Program Manager to ensure action is taken promptly
• Complete medication assistance including administering, delivering, picking-up , arrange for renewal, and disposal of outdated or no longer prescribed medications for clients as assigned by the Health Care Program Manager
• Provide quality assurance assistance with medication compliance and health tracking in accordance with the Medical Providers order
• Report all findings of errors or concerns regarding medication and health tracking to the Health Care Program Manager
• Assist with transportation in personal vehicle or by setting up client paratransit to and f rom medical appointments as requested by the Health Care Program Manager
• Ensure that any maintenance problems are reported to the Service Desk system
• Ensure the clients' health and safety, power and choice, positive recognition by self and others, community integration, promote competence and self reliance, and support them in developing relationships.
• Maintain participant records, implement the Individual Support Plan, Person-Centered Service Plan, Individual Instruction and Support Plan, and Positive Behavior Support Plan if applicable.
• Must be able to safely transport participants in accordance with company and state regulations.

Sunday-Thursday 10a-6p

Sunday-Tuesday Friday and Saturday 10a-6p

Sunday-Thursday 6p-2a

Tuesday-Saturday 6p-2a

Sunday-Tuesday Friday and Saturday 6p-2a

Requirements: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

Education :

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Required

Experience : 1–3 years of experience in human services, behavioral health, or a related field preferred

Licensure/Certification :

• Obtain CPR/ First Aid Certification , Nurse Delegation and Nurse Delegation Diabetes ; within 90 days of hire
• Obtain and maintain an active Washington State Nursing Assistant Register ed
• Washington State Driver’s License
• Personal vehicle and proof of personal vehicle insurance meeting minimum required liability coverage of $50,000 per accident
• Background Check Clearance; WA State, FBI Finger Prints , and DSHS

Compensation:

• $21 - $22.95 per hour
• Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications/licensure.
