Job summary

The Arc Mid Hudson seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide essential care in a 38-hour weekly schedule at Foggintown, Brewster, NY. You will assist residents with daily living, participate in training, and support independence in the community.

Starting salary information is provided, and we offer training including SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration. NYS driver's license and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is desired.
• Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus.
• An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must.
• Training includes Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
• Supports people with daily living activities and personal hygiene tasks.
• Contributes to a safe and supportive living environment and helps individuals pursue life goals.
