Progress Industries in central Iowa is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional for part-time day shifts. The role supports individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism and Down syndrome, with training provided and no prior experience required.

You will help with daily living tasks, hygiene, and community participation, working closely with clients, families, and coworkers to promote independence, safety, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional role for individuals with disabilities; no experience required; training provided.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred; background in autism, anxiety, depression or Down syndrome is helpful.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to fill Part-Time day positions for a direct support professional for:

1 - PT Days (8am to 4pm, 8am to 6pm on weekend)

To include working every other weekend.

Driver's License Required.

No Experience necessary, training provided to all staff.

We are currently in need of a Direct Support Professional to help provide services for individuals with special needs. The ideal candidate will have a background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, severe anxiety and depression, as well as Down syndrome. While the position will include cleaning chores, we're looking for candidates who are willing to go above and beyond by helping individuals with their personal hygiene. This may include assistance with personal hygiene tasks, helping them dress or even running daily errands.

A day in the life of a Direct Support Professional can look like:

• Provide support, skill training and therapeutic instruction to persons served
• Develop, maintain, increase, or maximize an individual's independence in self-care, physical, mental, and emotional health and development.
• You will provide quality services that promote socialization, community inclusion, leisure, and communication skills,
• Work closely with persons served, their families, P.I. staff and community individuals to achieve quality outcomes.
