Job summary

Merakey is hiring a Casual Direct Support Professional in Portage, PA. The role involves providing direct care and assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, mobility, and meal prep.

It offers paid training and flexible shifts (Daylight, Evenings, Overnights and Weekends) in a non-profit health services setting. As a DSP, you will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promote independence, and help with daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• No experience required – paid training provided.
• Must have a valid driver''s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills
• Provide community support, transportation
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained)
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs
