Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Pikesville, MD to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence. The role offers paid training, development opportunities, and a compassionate, team-oriented environment.

You will provide hands-on personal care, follow care plans, document progress, and support community participation, with potential travel to [Residential and Day programs] as needed. Compensation is $20.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in disability services preferred (not required - training provided).
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving record or limited points.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing, and daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs.
