Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional in North Carolina, Summerfield, to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living activities and community participation.

Qualifications

• NCI/CPI Training required.
• CPR/FA certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• TB screening required.
• Active driver’s license required.
• Experience with individuals with IDD is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Proficiency in English required.
• Technology proficiency with mobile devices for documentation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores.
• May transport clients to and from community activities.
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and fostering independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities.
• Document observations and progress on goals and ensure a safe environment for clients.
