Easterseals Joliet Region is seeking part-time Direct Support Professionals for 2nd and 3rd shift in the Joliet area. You will provide direct care to residents with developmental disabilities in Easterseals homes, with opportunities for overtime and future hours.

No prior experience is required, but compassion and a desire to help are essential. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are needed, along with teamwork and empathy.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet Illinois' driving requirements with dependable means of transportation.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Works both independently and as part of a team.
• Empathetic and supportive with staff, clients, and families.

• Develop rapport with consumers and cultivate a safe, supportive relationship.
• Provide supervision and guidance during skill-building activities; assist with goals and objectives.
• Document the implementation of the goals, objectives, and service objectives.
• Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene.
• Transport consumers to various activities and appointments.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home and its grounds by assisting consumers in cleaning and other household chores as necessary.

We have immediate openings part-time 2nd and 3rd shiftDirect Support Professional (DSP) positions!! In the Joliet area. Must be able to work every-other weekend.

This is an opportunity to provide direct care services to individuals with disabilities who reside in Easterseals residential homes. No prior experience is necessary. However, you must have compassion and the desire to help individuals with developmental disabilities.
