Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, and Home Health Aides to provide person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Paid training is provided; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Background checks and screenings required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration and hygiene.
• Monitor health and report concerns promptly.
• Support learning and development of independent and community-based skills.
• Participate in community, social and recreational activities.
• Drive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community.
• Maintain accurate program documentation and billable records.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, businesses and families.
• Cooperate with staff during inspections and investigations.
