Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, and Home Health Aides in Havertown, PA. This full-time/part-time/PRN role offers paid training and NADSP credential bonuses.

Starting pay is $18.60 per hour. You will provide person-centered care, assist with daily routines, monitor health needs, and help individuals participate in community activities while maintaining accurate records and cooperating with staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to establish a comfortable, supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and stay calm in crisis situations.
• Employment contingent upon successful background, central registry, child abuse, and drug checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily routines — cleaning, cooking, feeding, hygiene.
• Monitor health and medical needs; report concerns promptly.
• Support learning and development of independent and community skills.
• Engage individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments and activities.
• Maintain accurate program documentation and billing records.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, families, and businesses.
• Cooperate with staff during inspections and inquiries.
