Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Denton, Texas is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, and Home Health Aide for full-time, part-time, and PRN roles. We offer paid training and opportunities to grow while making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Starting pay is $13.00 per hour. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license; no experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to establish a supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Good judgment and composure in crises.
• Background checks, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
• Support development of independent and community-based skills.
• Engage individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments and activities.
