Our House, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist adults with IDD in group homes or apartments. You’ll help with daily living skills, community inclusion, and personal growth to promote independence while ensuring health and safety.

Ideal candidates have caregiving or human services background, or want a long-term DD/IDD career. This role offers paid training, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
• Reliable transportation to and from work and between sites.
• High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Two-week, in-office paid training upon hire; annual recertifications.
• Comfortable using computers and agency systems to document shift reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other web-based systems.
• Able to provide professional references during the application process.
• Must transport individuals served using agency vehicles for activities and appointments.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living skills and independence.
• Assist with personal care and medical needs as directed.
• Administer and document medications accurately.
• Transport residents to medical appointments and community activities using agency vehicles.
• Facilitate community inclusion through planned activities.
• Maintain safety, dignity, and well-being of residents at all times.
• Document thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR).
• Advocate for residents’ rights and goals.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
