Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with developmental disabilities in Passaic County, NJ. DSPs provide one-to-one support at home and in the community, helping individuals build independence and meaningful daily life.

This role is person-centered and may include companionship, skill-building, routine support, and transportation assistance when authorized.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient, dependable, and comfortable working one-to-one with an adult with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful one-to-one support at home and in the community.
• Help individuals participate in meaningful activities, hobbies, errands, appointments, recreation, and social opportunities.
• Teach and reinforce daily living, communication, social, safety, and independence skills.
• Encourage individual choice, self-advocacy, community inclusion, and healthy relationships.
• Assist with routines and activities of daily living when required by the individual’s plan and the specific assignment.
• Follow individualized behavioral, medical, safety, and support instructions within DSP scope and training.
• Maintain the individual’s health and safety and promptly report concerns through the appropriate chain.
• Complete required service documentation accurately and on time.
• Clock in and out as required and maintain dependable attendance and communication.
• Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, dignity, and respect at all times.
