Job summary

Saint Dominic's Family Services on campus Direct Support Professional position supports individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in a residential setting, implementing individualized action plans to maximize functioning and well‑being.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with a pay range of $17.00–$18.70 per hour. Overtime is required; AMAP certification and medication administration training are required within 90 days of hire.

• Valid (non-restricted) Driver’s License required.
• Related work experience preferred but not required.

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL – ON CAMPUS

Full Time/Part Time: Regular Full Time. Total Hours Per Week: 40. Salary: $17.00 – $18.70.

Job Summary

The Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are responsible for implementing individualized action plans for individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities in a residential setting to maximize their functioning in the community. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will assist in the improvement of personal care, social skills, money management, life skills and general well‑being.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Individual Staff Action Plans
• Provide constant supervision and observation of individuals
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the residence
• Serve as a role model and advocate
• Mandatory overtime required
• Driving is mandatory; valid non‑restricted driver license required
• Successfully complete AMAP Certification within 90 days of hire
• Administer medications as prescribed by a doctor(s) within 90 days of hire
• Complete Tube feeding training for certification (if required) within 90 days of hire

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid (non-restricted) Driver’s License
• Related work experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. Must be able to perform all SCIP-R physical interventions, including use of lifts provided for the lifting of individuals, and be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Must be able to travel stairs to the 2nd floor as necessary.
