Job summary

PathPoint in Atascadero, CA is seeking a Full-time Direct Support Professional to join our Independent Living Services team. You will teach independent living skills to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes, covering cooking, budgeting, scheduling medical appointments, and daily living tasks.

In this role, you'll teach independent living skills to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. This could include cooking and grocery shopping, healthy living and exercise, budgeting and money management, scheduling medical appointments, or other skills depending on the individual's personal goals.

Compensation: This is an hourly, non-exempt position starting at $23.25 per hour. The pay range is $22.09-$24.41, the pay range is subject to change based on a variety of factors.

• Work independently with individuals one-on-one in their homes.

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience supporting or instructing individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required; if you are interested in this job but do not have directly relevant experience, we'd still love to hear from you!
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities, their family members, social workers, employers, and others in a positive and constructive manner.
• Must have a valid California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, 5 years of driving experience, and be eligible for coverage on PathPoint's auto insurance policy.
