Job summary

Kindly Direct Care in Mays Landing, NJ is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support for a high-functioning adult with developmental disabilities. This role involves companionship, community participation, and assisting with daily activities in home and community settings.

You will work Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., earning $17–$21 per hour. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are preferred to support outings and appointments.

About This Opportunity

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.

• Help the individual participate in the community.

• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable.

• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills.

• Help the individual work toward goals identified in the service plan.

• Provide reminders, routine support, or light assistance as required by the case.

• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.

• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.

• Warm, patient, dependable, and genuinely interested in building a consistent relationship.

• Able to reliably work the posted schedule.

• Comfortable supporting an adult one-to-one in home and community settings.

• Valid driver's license

• Reliable vehicle

• DSP, mentoring, education, recreation, human services, or caregiving experience is helpful but may not be required for this assignment.
