Job summary

Sevita's Mentor Community Services in Missouri is hiring a Direct Support Professional to join a mission-driven team. In this full-time role, you’ll mentor, advocate, and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live well and participate in their communities.

You’ll assist with daily activities, including meals, personal care, medication administration, budgeting, and excursions, while promoting inclusion and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 5 years of caregiving experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Reliable, responsible, and compassionate approach to caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Support independence by helping individuals with budgeting, nutrition, and community activities.
• Build relationships as a mentor, advocate, and friend.
• Daily care including meals, medication administration, personal care, and outings.
• Promote inclusion and help individuals engage with their communities and hobbies.
