Job summary

The Arc of Carroll County is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Meaningful Day Program in Westminster, MD. The role is 30 hours per week with daytime hours (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) and a pay rate of $19.68–$20.07 per hour.

No experience required — paid training is provided, with DSP certification opportunities and bonuses in the first year. Benefits include paid sick leave, a 403(b) plan, wellness programs, and more.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with 2+ years of driving experience; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in small groups and 1:1 settings with person-centered activities.
• Create and implement meaningful activities tailored to each person’s goals.
• Encourage skill development in job readiness, social skills, self-care, math, reading, and safety.
• Provide personal care and mobility support as needed.
• Assist with community access and transportation.
• Promote independence and self-advocacy.
• Document services and progress per agency and state requirements.
