Job summary

GIL Foundation Inc. in Prospect, CT is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help adults with disabilities live self-directed lives in their homes and communities.

You will provide direct care, coaching, and support across daily living activities while ensuring safety and adherence to care plans. Training is provided and overtime opportunities exist, with a strong mission-based culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Experienced DSPs encouraged to apply and training provided.
Friendly, helpful, compassionate, and genuinely caring.
Willingness to be reliable, punctual and flexible with shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide consistent care and assistance for individuals with disabilities in their own homes.
Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
Support housekeeping, laundry, cleaning, and light maintenance in group home settings.
Assist with daily living activities such as banking, outings, and shopping.
Monitor safety, follow care plans, administer medications, and attend doctor visits.
Support meal planning, cooking, and nutrition guidelines.
Provide safe transportation in the community; training provided.
