Job summary

GIL Foundation Inc. is seeking a First Shift Direct Support Professional to provide direct care to adults with disabilities in Connecticut. This full-time role offers weekend and weekday shifts, with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

The DSP supports individuals in homes and communities, coaching, assisting with activities, and providing medical, nutritional, and behavioral support as needed. Training is provided to fit our mission-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent care to individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and daily living activities.
• Support with meals, supervision, and transportation as needed.
• Monitor safety, follow care plans, and document daily activities.
• Promote personal choice and expression and engage in community activities.
• Participate in required training and team meetings.
