Job summary

ARISE CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICE INC is seeking a Direct Support Professional for 1:1, in-home support in the Cicero, NY area. The role is part-time/per diem with flexible hours, including evenings.

You will help the client engage in community activities and choose activities she enjoys, while remaining active and safe in various settings. The ideal candidate is creative, engaging, patient, and willing to travel to different locations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assist a 12-year-old girl with community activities and engaging in preferred activities.
• Provide personal care as needed and assist with lifting.
• Travel to different locations for activities and appointments as required.

A 12-year-old female in the Cicero area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist her with being active in the community and help her choosing activities to her liking. She spends most of her time watching tv or playing on her tablet. She enjoys spending time visiting friends and family. The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, active and patient and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate must also be willing to provide personal care when needed, and able to lift.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services.

Starting pay is $19.25 /hour and increases with years of relevant experience.
