Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Lancaster, CA seeks a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a full-time role based in Lancaster, CA with a competitive hourly rate.

The Direct Support Professional supports clients with daily routines, personal care, meals and transportation as needed. DSP certification and RBT within the first year, plus CPR/First Aid and CPI preferred, are required or encouraged, along with a

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• Obtain your RBT within the 1st Year of Employment
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Here’s What You’ll Do:

The Direct Support Professionalsupports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.
