Job summary

Active-Visions is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Lake of the Hills, IL to provide compassionate, person-centered care. The role involves 1:1 support for a client in a family home and community setting, with duties including feeding, positioning, and basic caregiving tasks.

Evening shifts from 5pm to 9pm, Monday through Friday, with training on ceiling lifts and safety protocols provided. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.

Responsibilities

Seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist client with total care- Experience with g-tube feedings, trach care, and use of equipment/transfers
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
• Assist with daily living tasks, such as feedings, positioning, trach suctioning, dressing, and changing diapers
• Training on use of ceiling mounted lift and care routine provided
• Looking for evening care, M-F, from 5pm-9pm.

We are looking for an individual who is compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the quality of life for others. DSP Must be flexible in schedule changes. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. This position consists of working 1:1 with an individual who has an intellectual disability in their family home and community. Qualified persons will have own reliable transportation, valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and a high school diploma.
