Job summary

Active-Visions in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. This role provides 1:1 support for an individual with an intellectual disability in their family home and community.

You will accompany the person on daily walks, assist with daily living tasks such as meal prep and laundry, provide emotional support and companionship, and teach healthy boundaries for cell phone use and social media.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle insurance.

We are looking for an individual who is compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the quality of life for others. DSP Must be flexible in schedule changes. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. This position consists of working 1:1 with an individual who has an intellectual disability in their family home and community. Qualified persons will have own reliable transportation, valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and a high school diploma.
