ARISE Child and Family Service Inc. in Solvay, NY is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist a 64-year-old male in his home and in the community. Shift hours are Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, with flexibility for additional hours as available.

The role emphasizes friendly, dependable support to help the individual stay connected to the community. No experience is required, but working with people with disabilities is preferred; a NYS driver's license and reliable

Job Details: Job Location: Solvay - Solvay, NY 13209, Position Type: Per Diem, Education Level: None, Salary Range: $19.25 - $20.50 Hourly, Job Category: Direct Support Professional, 1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Solvay, NY (JB-PM)

A 64-year-old male is looking for a Direct Support Professional to support them in Solvay. He enjoys visiting local shops, playing bingo, and pursuing volunteer opportunities with Meals on Wheels or at the food bank.

The ideal candidate is friendly and dependable, enjoys helping others, and will support the individual in staying connected to the community.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Hours and days of work: Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s 10:00 AM-2:00PM. With some flexibility as agreed upon.

Pay rate: $19. 25

Location: Solvay, NY

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
