Devereux is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Livingston, NY to support children and adults with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily activities, personal care, recreation, and goal attainment in a safe, therapeutic setting.

The role emphasizes compassion, flexibility, and a patient, energetic approach to help individuals reach long-term goals and improve daily functioning in a supportive environment.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of related experience or an Associate's Degree with 1 year of related experience.
• Valid NY Driver's License.
• Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.
• Be able to lift at least 70 pounds.
• Strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.

Responsabilidades

• Assist individuals in daily activities including health and personal management and achieving personal goals.
• Support recreation and daily household living while maintaining a safe and therapeutic treatment environment.
• Contribute to meeting physical, emotional, and personal needs and improving functioning by minimizing interfering behaviors.
