Charles Lea Center in Cary, NC seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with disabilities in residential settings and client homes. You will help with daily living tasks, promote independence, and document progress using Therap software.

The role offers part-time 1st shift, paid training, and growth opportunities, with benefits including health coverage, PTO, and retirement options. Background checks required and driving may be needed for some visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver).
• Valid driver’s license and Social Security number required.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks.

Responsabilités

• Assist with daily living skills, grooming, meals, personal care, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in activities, community outings, and skill-building.
• Promote independence and dignity in every interaction.
• Document daily notes, training steps, and updates in Therap.
• Communicate important information to supervisors and team members.
• Follow safety, infection control, and agency policies.
• Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and positive interactions.
