Job summary

Chrysalis is seeking a caregiver to support at-risk adults and/or juveniles with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a safety-sensitive environment. The role emphasizes independence, respect, safety, and accountability through daily activities and structured plans.

The position requires punctuality, English proficiency, and the ability to follow pre-approved programs while communicating decisions effectively to the team and individuals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pass and maintain a passable criminal background check and LEIE per state regulations.
• Pass required controlled substance tests.
• Ability to speak, read and write effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Punctuality and regular attendance to ensure proper oversight of individuals.
• Stay awake, responsive, and communicate effectively to the individuals.
• Teach individuals daily living skills.
• Plan appropriate activities for the individuals.
• Create opportunities for people to increase quality of life.
• Provide a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
• Implement Person Centered Support Plans and follow Behavioral Plans.
• Supervise individuals according to guidelines and support their choices.
• Assist and supervise individuals with taking the appropriate medication.
• Complete administrative tasks within established time frames.
• Complete all documentation required by Chrysalis and the State.
• Maintain communication with the Manager regarding the individual's needs.
• Follow the Provider Code of Conduct and state policy.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
