Job summary

SAILS Washington in Rochester, WA seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide person-centered support, promote community integration, and help with daily living tasks and safety. This full-time position offers an hourly rate of $20.00 and requires transportation and commitment to the individuals served.

We emphasize quality care, ongoing training, background checks, and mandatory collaboration with supervisors to implement Individual Instruction and Support Plans.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum Experience: personal experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities with challenging behaviors strongly preferred.
• Minimum Driving Experience: must have a valid in-state driver’s license and be able to provide current car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to program participants that meets their needs and promotes community integration.
• Maintains daily living tasks including personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, and health needs monitoring.
• Maintains documentation including medication logs, shift notes, progress notes, data sheets, incident reports, and client financial records.
