Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional II in California to support adults with disabilities. You will contribute to treatment planning, assist with daily living activities, and participate in community outings.

Qualifications

• One year or more of human service experience with adults or children.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors using positive approaches.

Responsibilities

• Utilize positive reinforcement and structured planning to increase adaptive behaviors.
• Plan, implement, and document programs meeting social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Assist with daily living activities including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal hygiene.
• Accompany individuals on community outings, medical appointments, and other activities as directed.
• Willingness to work with individuals who may exhibit challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• Provide hygiene care to adults of all genders.
