Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Ephrata, PA for a 40-hour-per-week contract role at $21 per hour. The DSP supports individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges in homes, communities, or residential settings.

You will work under the Individual Service Plan to promote growth in daily living skills and interpersonal development. Benefits are available to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid and current auto insurance.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges in developing interpersonal skills and daily living activities.
• Follow the resident's Individual Service Plan to provide appropriate supports.
• Work in home, community or residential settings.
