Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a Direct Support Professional in New Albany, Indiana. This role provides direct care, supports daily living activities, and helps individuals with developmental or related disabilities in a community setting.
The position is full-time and hourly (non-exempt). Reporting to Home Coordinators, the DSP helps ensure personal care, safety, and consumer rights are upheld while collaborating with a compassionate team in a nonprofit environment.

Responsible for providing direct care, training and assistance in the various aspects of activities of daily living, self care, leisure/recreation, developmental training, prevocational and/or vocational and is responsible for upholding consumer’s rights.
High School diploma or general equivalency diploma preferred, or commensurate skills. Demonstrate the ability to adequately read, write and understand the English language.
