Job summary

PermiaCare is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Midland, Texas to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living, transportation, and community activities. The role requires flexible shifts, adherence to safety policies, and compassionate, trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience with individuals with IDD or related settings preferred.
• Must pass criminal history/background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must maintain a valid Texas driver’s license and driving record meeting insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meals, medication monitoring, and daily chores.
• Provide personal hygiene assistance and mobility support.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized worksite.
• Communicate regularly with individuals and supervisor to ensure quality care.
• Provide transportation to outings and participate in activities with individuals.
