Job summary

All Ways Caring HomeCare in North Carolina is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home‑like settings.

DSPs support daily living activities, monitor health, follow Individual Service Plans, and help maintain dignity, privacy, and independence while transporting clients to activities and appointments.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must pass a background check
• Driver’s license with valid auto insurance
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, ambulation, health‑care related tasks
• Foster positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support
• Encourage self‑help activities
• Implement Individual Service Plans and Behavior Support Plans
• Manage individual behaviors by preventing or de‑escalating aggression
• Keep accurate daily documentation of activities, drills, Behavior Support Plans, medications, data tracking, and other records
• Transport individuals to and from community activities and medical appointments
• Run errands for clients as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range

USD $11.00 - $15.00 / Hour

• Keep accurate daily documentation of activities, fire/disaster drills, Behavior Support Plans, medications, goal and data tracking, and other required records.
• Transport individuals to and from community activities and medical appointments.
• Run errands for clients as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
