The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will provide person-centered support to an adult male who values independence and enjoys making choices about his daily routine. The individual enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time in the community through activities such as:

• Going to the park
• Playing basketball
• Watching movies
• Spending time with friends and family

The DSP will support the individual in building and maintaining independence by assisting with:

• Daily living skills, household routines, and organization
• Budgeting and money-management skills
• Community participation and recreational activities
• Exploring future employment and educational opportunities
• Developing confidence while making informed choices and achieving personal goals.

The ideal DSP will be dependable, patient, and encouraging while respecting the individual's personal space, preferences, and dignity. This role focuses on providing the right level of support to promote independence, safety, and meaningful involvement in the community
