United Disability Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional I in Akron, OH. You will be involved in instruction, training, and supervision of the individuals served, assisting with personal care to support community inclusion.

The position is regular full-time with no nights or weekends, offering benefits including health insurance, vision, paid holidays, PTO, retirement matching, life insurance, and more. Starting pay ranges from $14.61 to $16.21 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Must pass a Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), physical and drug screen
• Experience with adults with developmental disabilities is desirable, but training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Fulfill an instructor/trainer role and supervise the individuals served, assisting with personal care as needed
• Help individuals learn and develop skills to be included in the community
