Job summary

Merakey in Apollo, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our IDD Division. Earn $18.50 per hour with daytime shifts and paid training provided.

Responsibilities include helping with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, meals, and transportation while promoting health, safety, and independence. No experience required—training is offered to prepare you for a meaningful career in human services.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Own vehicle may be required.
• Experience in a home health aide or IDD setting preferred.
• Desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support, transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained).
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
