The role emphasizes advocacy, communication, and hands-on assistance with daily tasks, transportation, and community activities, with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Promote healthy living and prevent illness and accidents.
• Increase awareness of self-advocacy and support individual choice.
• Accompany people to work, the movies, concerts, shopping, and other community outings.
• Teach independent living skills.
• Provide transportation to appointments.
• Foster positive relationships within the community.
• Promote decision-making about living, work, and social relationships.
• Assist with personal care and housekeeping tasks.
