Job summary

Community Access Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a full-time 24-hour residential group home in The Dalles, Oregon. You will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them with daily activities, personal care, and community participation, while promoting independence and choice.

Prior DSP experience is welcome but not required; CAS provides paid training, ongoing guidance, and opportunities for career development in a supportive team

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass a national background check.
• Ability to qualify as an approved company driver.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility.
• Caregiving experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop respectful, supportive relationships with individuals served.
• Assist with daily activities such as meals, personal care, hygiene, and house chores.
• Provide support during community activities, appointments, and outings.
• Help individuals work toward personal goals and daily living skills.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable residential environment.
• Respect and advocate for each person's choices and well-being.
